The very useful Maytow hydraulic jack

I had mine checked against a certified machine and even with the compressed scale it was quite acceptable accuracy. We checked it at 100Kg intervals and the needle pointed pretty close to the correct weight.

I would not say the unit is dead accurate however it is close enough for the average caravan user as no one should be that close to their ball limit anyway.
